I like to contribute to my community.
Whether through gardening,
project management assistance,
or helping someone tell their story,
I enjoy using my skill and talent
to reveal potential and
discover new ways to
reach your goal.
I have a diploma in Design
from BCIT and Emily Carr
University. I can travel or work
remotely from my home office.
While I am comfortable working
with the standard design industry
software, I also continue to challenge
myself by adapting to new technology.
With a degree in Natural Science and
certificate in Silviculture, I have spent
many years working in BC forests,
where I am thankful to live and
continue to find inspiration.
"Well on the Way" was a 50-page monthly newsletter (2011-2018) produced for the South Cariboo Community Planning Council - a group of organizations working to promote the health, safety and sense of belonging for residents in the South Cariboo (features art by local artists on the front page).
I also published "The Clinton Lariat" and "Buzz Bulletin" from 2018 until 2022.
The South Cariboo Seniors Directory was created for the Age Friendly Society of the South Cariboo. Working hard with the directory committee, we created a 24-page booklet providing important and easy-to-read information with the goal of helping seniors to find out about and access resources available to them.
I help clients self-publish books. Tsilhqot'in Voices is a hardcover photo book describing the land and people of the Chilcotin Plateau in the BC Interior. Find a book review here. I worked with professional writer Arthur Lightbourne on the biography Our Vita, which is a combination of memoir and family album. Paul Blackwell's The Mad Trapper from Greeny Lake is an autobiography of the author's experiences coming to Canada and rising to prominence as a voice for the BC trapping industry. More to come...
Wrote text only for the South Cariboo Visitor Guide, as well as various informational brochures (design by Barta Design). Example of my writing here.
Worked with small producers to create labels for honey sales, coffee-roasting and jewellery-making businesses.
Designed new and edited existing business cards.
Helped clients to refine and digitize their own designs.
Using both digital tools and hand-drawings to create imagery.
Creative explorations.
